The Workshop's Art that Speaks Weekend (Austin Studio Tours)

Art that speaks (2-day art show)
Dates/times: Saturday/Sunday, November 16-17, 2024; Noon - 5 pm (come and go)
Description: All types of visual art will be welcomed into this show that features the created works of those seeking to heal/offer healing through creativity. The theme “Art that Speaks” invites pieces that incorporate language into the created works (visual depictions of poetry also welcome). Artists will be invited to be present to chat with attendees about their work and share a bit about the healing impact of art in their lives. Registration details: Donation bucket at the door; no ticket required but please let us know you’re coming by filling at the form below.
Poetry/storytelling night
Date/time: Saturday, November 16, 2024; 7 pm - 9 pm
Description: Spoken poetry and storytelling offer potential for making contact with our innermost places and that embodied contact provides opportunity for healing of varied forms. At this reading, healers will share their written works and we will celebrate together the power of spoken word as part of our healing journeys.
