About the event

Title: Restoring Capacity and Creating Sustainable Practices for Healers

Facilitators: Marshall Lyles and Jacob Rapp

Location: Virtual Workshop on Zoom

Date: August 4, 2026

Time: 6-8 pm CST

Description: Healing professionals are taught how to care for others, but rarely how to sustainably care for themselves while doing the deeply relational work of healing practices. This workshop offers space to better understand the emotional, mental, and physical signs of stress and overload before they accrue into larger struggles. Together, we’ll explore the differences between fatigue, exhaustion, and burnout while developing greater awareness of the somatic patterns that influence how we work, recover, and relate to ourselves throughout the day.

Participants will engage in experiential practices centered around breath, movement, posture, and environmental support while learning practical strategies for building rhythm, creating restorative rituals, and cultivating long-term resilience in both their personal and professional lives.

Objectives:

  • Build awareness for understanding your emotional, mental and physical capacity

  • Differentiate between fatigue, exhaustion and burnout

  • Develop understanding of the internal and external somatic cues of stress

  • Experiential work with supportive breathing practices, movement and posture reframes for creating nourishing work environments

  • Develop strategies to find your rhythm, ritualize turning off and build internal resilience
