Working with Body through Clay
Description: This group intensive (non-CE) experience is for anyone who identifies as a healer and is interested in clay work as a means to enhance somatic awareness and increase nurturing contact with the idea of “body”. The class will meet for two days. Some of the work will feature creating a clay piece based on a live (possibly nude) model. The creations are not meant to be kept; the class emphasizes process over product as we redeem messages received about body that do not serve us or those counting on us. Much time will be devoted to verbal processing of the personal responses to the clay work. No previous art experience required.
