Exploring attachment rhythms through poetry -

An online six-month writing program looking at the person-of-the-therapist

Presenter: Marshall Lyles, MA, LPC-S, LMFT-S, RPT-S, EMDRIA Approved Consultant

Description: Therapists voluntarily share their right hemispheres with others on a daily basis. This constant resonance of invisible energies shakes loose many parts of self, often revealing unexplored streams of attachment. These streams may be fed by early life memories or later life relational ups and downs. Either way, therapists deserve to have space and means for checking in with these parts of self in curious and compassionate ways.

Enter poetry. Poetry offers so much potential for making contact with our innermost places. This 6-month writing program for mental health workers will provide some moments of information sharing on attachment and poetry writing and revision, but most of the time will be used for writing in community and sharing our emerging works with others. There will also be writing exercises in the weeks between the monthly two-hour meetings. No previous poetry experience required. No CEs will be offered. This
virtual series is aimed at providing personal growth opportunities.
