Healing for Healers Series:
Three-Day Accessing Self through Poetry Experience
Description: Healers deserve cultivated space and sacred practices for tender listening to their own inner stories about themselves, about others, and about the world. Using poetry as primary form, this event will allow you to write to and for yourself as healer, creating more felt connection to personal theory about what creates struggle and welcomes change. The use of self is such an integral part of the healer's job, so having the space, time, and materials to explore and express with your heart, your spirit, your body, and your mind--through poetry, sand tray, art, movement, music--is essential. Delving into your philosophical and theoretical musings to deepen your understanding of your own beliefs about healing and what happens in the healing process can benefit you and your clients. Multiple creative expressions will be interwoven with expressive writing as individual and group practices unfold. Due to the sensitive nature of allowing for accessing awareness, the group will be asked to respect a covenant that protects all and honors voices that have been historically dismissed and demeaned.
