Partnering with parents in play therapy: Supporting parents’ attunement in sandtray sessions

    Date: 5.13.19

Time: 7 pm - 8 pm (Central time)

Hours: One APT contact education hour can be earned for viewing this live webinar.

    Description:
Play therapists develop attunements skills during the repetition of tracking and reflecting through hours of play sessions every week. Parents, however, may be foreign to the language of play. This webinar will offer methods for helping parents to structure their inner worlds toward attunement as they participate in sandtray-based play therapy sessions.

    Learning objectives:
    1. Discuss what the relational neurosciences offer in terms of understanding the role of attunement in play therapy.
    2. Describe a process of helping parents practice attunement skills during play therapy sessions.
    3. Apply parent-involved play therapy attunement to a case study presentation.

Registration information: The registration fee is $20 and the webinar platform is Zoom. A link will be sent for webinar access ahead of the event.

    Cancellation policy: Registration is non-refundable.

Presenter: Marshall Lyles, MA, LPC-S, LMFT-S, RPT-S, EMDRIA Approved Consultant
