Partnering with parents in play therapy: Executing sandtray-based parent consultations

    Date: 4.22.19

Time: 7 pm - 8 pm (Central time)

Hours: One APT contact education hour can be earned for viewing this live webinar.

    Description:
Involving parents in play therapy generally improves therapy outcomes, but play therapists often report needing more support in knowing how to effectively work with parents. This webinar will explore how to execute parent consultations specific to a sandtray-based treatment plan, including ideas for how to prompt parents to create their own trays as part of consultation.

    Learning objectives:
    1. Review play therapy research that speaks to parent involvement.
    2. Establish a plan for executing a sandtray-informed play therapy parent consultation session.
    3. Discuss possible parent sandtray prompts that would support play therapy outcomes.

Registration information: The registration fee is $20 and the webinar platform is Zoom. A link will be sent for webinar access ahead of the event.

    Cancellation policy: Registration is non-refundable.

Presenter: Marshall Lyles, MA, LPC-S, LMFT-S, RPT-S, EMDRIA Approved Consultant
